SiteLens · Geographic capture
See the web from anywhere.
Capture a public website from a supported country, confirm the actual geographic exit, and keep the screenshot and other evidence with that result. Geographic capture is a SiteLens Pro feature (capture.geographic). Free workspaces can still capture a page without choosing a country.
What you can do
Paid · SiteLens ProCapture from supported countries
Pick a country from 18 supported countries, not every ISO code. GET /capture/geo returns the names and codes your API is serving. An exit is verified after routing and fails closed when the country is unavailable.
Verify the exit location
Before evidence is returned, SiteLens checks the observed country through the same proxy. Verified means the observed country matches the one you requested. A mismatch or an unverified exit fails closed, with no page evidence.
Compare experiences
In the dashboard, capture the same URL from two or more countries — up to the full supported catalog — and compare screenshots. Each side keeps its requested country, observed country, proxy type, and verification status. A failure in one country does not cancel the others.
Screenshots and evidence
Browser mode returns a full-page PNG, rendered text, and DOM source. HTTP and HTML modes return headers and source without launching a browser. Evidence is included only after the exit verifies.
API and MCP
POST /capture with location.country, and the MCP tool sitelens_capture with the same fields. Country discovery is sitelens_list_capture_countries.
Dashboard locations
Choose the country, capture mode, and optional locale or timezone in the dashboard. Save a workspace preset and reload it later. Country targeting stays off on the Free plan.
How a capture is checked
Datacenter is the default
When you set a country and omit the proxy type, SiteLens uses datacenter routing. Residential is an explicit opt-in and is used only when that product is configured. SiteLens does not switch products automatically, and it does not fall back to a direct connection.
Locale is not an exit country
location.locale and location.timezone change the browser context. They do not route traffic and they do not require SiteLens Pro. Only location.country is the paid geographic exit.
Manual verification
Pro · operator checklistSiteLens does not run paid geographic captures for you. On a SiteLens Pro workspace, open Geographic Capture, choose browser mode, and capture a public IP page from each smoke-test country.
Suggested URLs
Use browser mode so the screenshot shows the exit IP page. The dashboard result also lists Country requested, Country observed, Exit IP, and Verification.
Smoke-test countries
- Brazil —
BR - Germany —
DE - Japan —
JP - United States —
US
Confirm requested and observed countries match, and Verification is verified. Failures must stay fail-closed with no direct-network fallback. Optional: enable Compare multiple countries and select two or more on the same URL (for example BR, DE, and JP).
Plans
Existing entitlementsGeographic capture uses the current Free and SiteLens Pro plans. There is no separate geographic allowance. Non-geographic capture stays available and is not billed as its own quota.
